Floyd County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

Floyd County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)

Court Appointed Special Advocates are volunteers that are appointed to a case by a judge in juvenile court to advocate for the best interests of a child. You can give a voice to a child who otherwise may not be heard. You can lessen the trauma a vulnerable child experiences during the hardest parts of life.

This position requires training that we host here at Floyd County CASA. After training and court observation is complete, you will be sworn in by a judge, then you can be appointed to a case. We go at your pace and comfort level and we arm you with all knowledge and resources needed. You can make a huge impact on a child's life by being a stable force in their life, a mentor, and a voice asking for what is in their best interest.

*Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age.
