Our core services include: Integrative mental health evaluation and management Root-cause assessment of mood, anxiety, focus, fatigue, and burnout Metabolic health and weight optimization services (with and without medication) Non-medication options such as IASIS microcurrent neurofeedback Nutrition- and supplement-guided support using high-quality products Family-centered care for children, adolescents, and adults Customized corporate wellness programs focused on outcomes and cost savings At its core, Mindset & Body Reset helps people feel better, function better, and live healthier lives by addressing the connection between mental health, physical health, and metabolism—so care leads to lasting outcomes, not lifelong dependency.
How long have you been in business?
Mindset & Body Reset has been in business since 2022. The practice was built to offer a more comprehensive, root-cause approach to care—integrating mental health, metabolic health, and whole-person medicine from the very beginning. In just a few short years, it has grown from a vision into a trusted model serving individuals, families, and employers, with a strong focus on long-term outcomes, responsible prescribing, and building a healthier community.
What inspired you to start this business, or what inspired the founders to begin this business?
Why This Business Was Created Mindset & Body Reset was founded by Lori Leonard with one clear mission: build a healthier, stronger community—one person at a time. Lori didn’t start this business to run a clinic as usual. She started it after years of watching the same pattern repeat across healthcare: people struggling, families overwhelmed, employees burned out, and communities quietly declining under the weight of untreated stress, poor nutrition, chronic disease, and an over-reliance on medications. She saw firsthand that when individuals suffer, the ripple effects hit families, workplaces, schools, and eventually entire communities. That’s where the vision shifted. Mindset & Body Reset was created to: Strengthen individuals so families function better, Reduce burnout so employees show up healthier and more engaged, Address root causes so people rely less on crisis care, Educate, empower, and restore confidence in health—not fear. Lori believes mental health isn’t just personal—it’s communal. A clearer mind leads to better decisions. A healthier body leads to better participation. And when enough people improve, the community improves with them. The Conviction Behind the Practice Mindset & Body Reset was born out of frustration—and conviction. For years, its founder worked inside a traditional healthcare system that was well-intentioned but deeply fragmented. Appointments were rushed. Symptoms were treated in isolation. Medications were often the first move, not the last. Too many patients were told, “This is just how it is.” That didn’t sit right. What inspired this business was recognizing that anxiety, depression, fatigue, weight gain, poor focus, and burnout are rarely the root problem—they’re signals. Signals of nutrient deficiencies, hormonal imbalance, chronic stress, gut dysfunction, poor sleep, inflammation, and lifestyle overload. The guiding beliefs were simple and time-tested: Mental health should never be treated without considering the body. Medication has a place—but shouldn’t be the only plan. Patients deserve education, not dependency. Real healing takes time, data, and partnership. So Mindset & Body Reset was built differently—mind first, body to follow. This practice slows healthcare back down. It asks better questions, looks deeper at labs, connects dots others overlook, and helps people feel clear, not numbed. The goal has always been long-term stability, resilience, and independence—not revolving doors or lifelong prescriptions. In short, the inspiration was straightforward and a little old-school: Do healthcare the way it should have been done all along. No fluff. No shortcuts. Just real care that treats the whole person—and lifts the community along the way.
How Mindset & Body Reset Gives Back to the Community
At Mindset & Body Reset, giving back isn’t a side project—it’s built into how the business operates. The practice exists to strengthen the community by improving the health, clarity, and resilience of the people who make it up. Here’s how that shows up in real, tangible ways: 1. Education First (Not Fear-Based Care) We regularly provide community education on mental health, nutrition, stress management, sleep, gut health, and medication awareness—helping people understand why they feel the way they do and what they can do about it. Education reduces crisis care, ER visits, and long-term dependence on medication. 2. Reducing Burnout Where It Starts Through corporate and municipal wellness programs, we help employers support their workforce before burnout becomes disability, turnover, or chronic illness. Healthier employees mean stronger families and more stable local organizations. 3. Root-Cause Care That Lowers Community Strain By addressing nutrient deficiencies, metabolic dysfunction, sleep disorders, and chronic stress early, we help reduce: Repeated urgent care and ER utilization Long-term medication escalation Missed workdays and productivity loss That’s a win not just for the patient—but for the entire healthcare system and local economy. 4. Supporting Families, Not Just Individuals. Mental health doesn’t live in isolation. When parents are clearer, calmer, and healthier, children do better in school, relationships improve, and households stabilize. That ripple effect is one of the most powerful ways a practice can give back. 5. Accessible, Ethical Care We focus on appropriate care, not over-treatment. If medication isn’t needed, we don’t push it. If lifestyle, labs, or education will help more, we start there. That protects patients from unnecessary costs and long-term harm. 6. Community Presence & Partnerships Mindset & Body Reset actively participates in local events, collaborates with other providers, employers, and organizations, and shows up where the community is—because trust is built face-to-face, not behind a prescription pad. The Bottom Line: Giving back doesn’t always look like writing a check. Sometimes it looks like: Preventing a crisis before it happens Helping someone get off unnecessary medication Keeping a parent present, an employee working, a family stable. Strong people build strong communities. That’s how this business gives back—and why it exists in the first place.
Why Chamber Membership Matters to Us?
Being a Chamber member matters to Mindset & Body Reset because community doesn’t grow in silos—it grows through relationships. Mindset & Body Reset was built with the belief that strong communities are created when local businesses support one another, collaborate intentionally, and invest in the long-term well-being of the people they serve. The Chamber represents exactly that. Connection Over Competition Healthcare doesn’t operate in a vacuum. Mental health, workforce stability, productivity, and economic growth are deeply connected. Being a Chamber member allows us to partner with employers, educators, civic leaders, and other small businesses to address challenges upstream, before they become crises. Investing Locally—On Purpose We believe in keeping resources, education, and solutions within the community whenever possible. Chamber membership helps us reinvest locally, support fellow business owners, and contribute to a healthier local economy—because thriving businesses create stable families and stronger neighborhoods. Supporting a Healthier Workforce: Burnout, stress, and chronic illness affect every industry. Through Chamber involvement, we can educate employers, support workforce wellness initiatives, and help businesses keep their people healthy, present, and productive—benefits that extend far beyond our clinic walls. Shared Values, Long-Term Vision The Chamber values leadership, accountability, and community growth—the same principles our practice was built on. We don’t believe in quick fixes or short-term wins. We believe in steady, responsible growth that benefits people now and years down the road. Showing Up Where It Matters Most importantly, Chamber membership means showing up. Being accessible. Being accountable. Being part of the conversation about how our community grows, supports its people, and takes care of one another. Bottom Line: We’re a Chamber member because: Healthy communities need healthy people, Healthy people support strong businesses, Strong businesses build resilient communities. It’s not just good business—it’s the right thing to do.
What Makes Mindset & Body Reset Stand Out Among the Rest?
Mindset & Body Reset stands out because we address a hard truth most systems avoid: mental health symptoms in America are running rampant—and they are often overmedicated, misidentified, and poorly explained. Founded by Lori Leonard, Mindset was built to bridge what traditional models keep separate—mental health and physical health—and to correct root causes instead of masking symptoms. One does not exist without the other. Treating them in silos leads to missed diagnoses, fragmented care, and outcomes that don’t last. A Reality Most Practices Don’t Address Across the U.S., people of all ages are labeled and treated based on symptoms alone: Children and adults diagnosed with ADHD when common drivers include excess sugar, blood sugar instability, poor sleep, and nutrient deficiencies Chronic low energy and lack of motivation treated as depression when contributors are often depleted neurotransmitters, low iron, B vitamins, or metabolic dysfunction Depression managed long term when underlying factors may be poor gut health, inflammation, or nutrient malabsorption Anxiety treated in isolation when contributors can include anemia, thyroid imbalance, cortisol dysregulation, or hormonal shifts These symptoms are real—but the cause is often missed. Symptom-based prescribing without deeper evaluation leads to overmedication, long-term dependency, and worsening health over time. Mindset exists to change that. Mental Health and Physical Health—Treated Together Most providers offer fragmented services: mental health in one place, physical health in another, nutrition and weight somewhere else—if at all. We do the opposite. At Mindset, mental and physical health are evaluated together, treated together, and followed together because mood, focus, anxiety, weight, and energy are inseparable from metabolism, nutrients, gut health, hormones, sleep, and the nervous system. Individual-Centered Care That Actually Explains the “Why” Our model slows healthcare down. We don’t just ask what someone feels—we investigate why the body is producing those symptoms. Our protocols focus on: Identifying nutrient deficiencies that impact mood, focus, and energy. Evaluating metabolic, gut, thyroid, and stress-related contributors. Stabilizing sleep, blood sugar, and nervous system regulation. Reducing unnecessary or poorly tolerated medications Educating patients so they understand their own health. The outcome isn’t just symptom relief—it’s clarity, confidence, and independence. People often feel better without feeling medicated, foggy, or dulled. Unique Weight Loss & Metabolic Health Services Our weight and metabolic services are different by design. We’ve offered weight management since opening and have become highly specialized because weight and mood fuel each other. What makes our approach unique: Root-cause metabolic correction, not quick fixes Thoughtful use of medications only when appropriate, with strong pathways to improve without medication when possible Insurance-supported options to reduce out-of-pocket costs for GLP-1s when used Active prevention of common side effects through nutrition, hydration, gut support, and muscle preservation A strong focus on adolescents and early intervention to prevent lifelong struggle This is about helping people step out of a lifelong battle—safely and sustainably. Giving Parents and Children Real Options. Parents come to Mindset because they don’t want medication to be the first or only option for their children—or themselves. Our approach gives families: Alternatives to reflexive ADHD and mood diagnoses Support to correct nutrition, gut health, sleep, and stress before medicating Protection of developing brains from unnecessary long-term medication exposure. Many children stabilize once foundational health issues are addressed. When medication is needed, it’s prescribed conservatively and safely—but often, it isn’t needed at all. That’s empowering for parents and life-changing for kids. Employers Gain the Greatest Long-Term Return. Traditional wellness programs often create a false sense of health—step challenges and screenings without follow-through. Mindset delivers customized workforce wellness programs that address the true drivers of cost and performance: Mental health strain and chronic stress Metabolic dysfunction, obesity, and insulin resistance Medication side effects and nutrient depletion Fatigue, burnout, and poor sleep By focusing on root-cause correction and deprescribing when appropriate, employers see: Lower pharmacy and healthcare costs Reduced absenteeism and presenteeism Improved engagement, productivity, and retention Fewer downstream claims related to medication complications This is real wellness with accountability—not wellness theater. One Integrated Model. Lifelong Impact. Mindset & Body Reset bridges health, not just medication management. Individuals receive care that restores function and clarity. Parents gain safer options for their children. Employers gain a healthier, more resilient workforce All while supporting all ages and all economic backgrounds, especially the working population—those most likely to accept quick fixes because time, resources, and support are limited. The Bottom Line Mindset & Body Reset stands apart because we challenge the norm. We recognize that many mental health diagnoses are signals of deeper imbalance, not permanent conditions. We focus on real root causes and real correction. We prescribe thoughtfully—never reflexively. We build health for life, not dependency. That’s not common care. That’s responsible care.
We all know owning/running a business can be hard. What is a recent highlight that shows the hard work is worth it?
Running a healthcare business is demanding—emotionally, mentally, and operationally. But a recent stretch of wins made it unmistakably clear that doing things the right way matters. First, a milestone that meant a great deal to our entire team: Lori Leonard was honored as Behavioral Health Provider of the Year for 2025. That recognition wasn’t for volume or quick fixes—it was for outcomes, integrity, and a model that challenges the status quo. That alone made every long day worth it. At the same time, we saw the model work exactly as designed: A parent felt immense relief after learning their child’s behavior and mood changes were largely driven by a nutrient deficiency, not a lifelong diagnosis. With targeted correction and support, the child improved—and medication was avoided altogether. The parent said, “We finally understand what was actually going on.” An employer saw a documented cost savings of $33,000 in a single year—for just one employee—after simple, thoughtful changes that reduced medication reliance and addressed root health drivers instead of layering on more prescriptions. Different people. Different settings. Same result: real outcomes that last. These moments reinforced why Mindset & Body Reset exists: To help individuals feel clear and capable again, to give parents answers and options—without rushing to medication, to show employers that better health isn’t just good care, it’s smart economics. The highlight wasn’t just the award or the numbers. It was seeing proof—again—that root-cause care works. That’s when you know the hard work isn’t just worth it—it’s necessary.
What is the best business advice that you have ever been given?
“If it was easy, everyone would be doing it.”
I learned the hard way that this is true. Building a business—especially one grounded in healthcare, ethics, and real outcomes—isn’t easy. And it was never meant to be.
What I’ve come to understand is that the hard part is the difference. Doing what I love, holding myself to a high standard of integrity and quality, and refusing to cut corners is exactly what sets our work apart—and it directly impacts outcomes.
It would be easier to move faster, see more people, or follow what’s expected. But easy doesn’t build trust. Easy doesn’t change lives. And easy doesn’t last.
Choosing integrity, depth, and quality—even when it’s harder—has shaped what we offer and why it works. Doing the right thing for the right reason consistently produces the best outcomes. And when the business side gets challenging, those outcomes are what keep me going.
What's next for your business?
Expanded Mental & Metabolic Health Services As Mindset & Body Reset moves forward, our growth is intentional and strategic—focused on offering more ways to heal without creating new problems. The next phase strengthens both mental health and metabolic/weight optimization, because the two are inseparable. Expanding Metabolic Health & Weight Optimization. We have offered weight-loss services since opening, but over time, we have become highly specialized. Experience, outcomes, and refinement have allowed us to build protocols that help people finally escape the lifelong cycle of weight struggle—without worsening mood, energy, or health. Our expanded metabolic services will: Offer insurance-supported options to help reduce out-of-pocket costs for GLP-1 medications when appropriate Identify individuals who can improve without medication by correcting metabolic, nutrient, and lifestyle drivers Use medications thoughtfully and safely—never as a standalone fix Actively prevent side effects through nutrition, gut support, hydration, and muscle preservation Strongly support the adolescent population, intervening early to prevent lifelong obesity, metabolic disease, and mood complications This is not trend-based care. It’s long-term metabolic correction—only better and better. Expanding Mental Health Services Beyond Medication. At the same time, we are expanding mental health services to ensure individuals always have options beyond prescriptions. This includes: Continued and expanded use of IASIS microcurrent neurofeedback as a non-medication option for anxiety, depression, trauma, brain fog, and nervous system dysregulation. Increased access to high-quality, pharmaceutical-grade supplements, avoiding low-quality products that contribute to poor outcomes. Clear education so patients understand what they are taking and why. Not everyone needs medication—and not everyone tolerates it. Choice matters. Adding Providers Without Losing Quality Growth only works if standards stay high. We are adding additional providers trained to follow our established mental health and metabolic protocol models to ensure: Consistent, ethical care, Safe prescribing and deprescribing practices, Continuity across all ages. Expansion will never dilute integrity. Building Integrated Nutrition & Therapy Programs. We are also building structured programs that integrate: Nutrition-based mental health services One-on-one therapy sessions Medical oversight and coordination. This closes the gaps that exist in traditional care and gives individuals a complete support system, not fragmented referrals. The Bottom Line: What’s next for Mindset & Body Reset is integration at a higher level: Mental health without defaulting to medication, Metabolic and weight optimization without long-term harm, Early intervention for adolescents, High-quality supplements, therapy, and medical oversight, More providers to help more people—faster. We’re not expanding to be bigger. We’re expanding to be better—and to build a healthier community for life
