The Davies Shelters operates two transitional shelters: one for men, and one for women (& their children). In addition, we operate a two-acre urban farm and 16 raised-bed garden that grows produce sold on our mobile farmer's market, The Farm Bus, for two-thirds the price in low-income neighborhoods. The Davies Shelters provide more than a bed to sleep in - we partner with our neighbors experiencing homelessness to develop the tools and skills to overcome homelessness. Our approach is rooted in digging deep to address the patterns and causes that led to a person's situation, then helping them develop the tools for growth and change. Our goal is for every guest to leave the Davies Shelters with the tools and ability to be successful on their own. We work to address the causes of homelessness through housing, agriculture & community.
