About
NWGA Center For Independent Living is a non-profit Organization Established January 3,2004. We are an organization serving 15 counties. “Nothing about us without us!†The vast majority of our staff have disabilities. Our core services are: independent living skills training , information & referral, peer mentoring, self-advocacy and transition. We offer several programs to assist our community in a variety of ways. Some of the programs that we offer are: the Alzheimer’s Association Caring Closet, home modifications (such as wheelchair ramps), assistive Tools and technology, emergency preparedness & weather alert radios for people who are deaf or have hearing impairments. We have a wide variety of assistive technology devices available for demonstration, in partnership with Tools for Life.
