Theatre - Graduate Assistant
Assists the Technical Director in the day-to-day operation of the scene shop and other theatre spaces.
Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversees and directs teams of student workers as they build and paint scenery. Student workers may also need oversight when hanging lights, loading and transporting materials, and performing other tasks relating to the daily operation of the theatre.
- At the instruction of the Technical Director, completes tasks related to all aspects of production and management of theatre and rehearsal spaces
- Under the Technical Director's supervision, leads teams of student workers to complete production projects
- Assists with the upkeep and maintenance of Theatre and Rehearsal spaces
- Production interns interested in designing may be considered for those duties as a separate assignment.

Requirements:
A bachelor's degree (BA or BFA) in Theatre and admission into the Master of Business Administration program at Berry College are required.
Experience in scenic construction, scene painting, and/or stage lighting. This may be as part of coursework, student employment, or professional positions held.
- Familiarity with a wide variety of power tools, ranging from hand tools to large bench tools.
- Knowledge of how to safely and competently use power tools to build scenic elements.
- Familiarity with scenic painting techniques
- Basic stage electrical skills, such as hanging and focusing lighting equipment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- Familiarity with documentation for stage production, such as ground plans, elevations, light plots, and others, depending on assignment.
Any additional requirements specific to this position:
