This position is located at GHC Cartersville Campus and The position is Part TIme Temporary at about 22 hrs/week


Job Summary


This position works for the Client Technology Services (CTS) unit of the Information Technology (IT) Division. It performs specialized duties in the provision of CTS operations to students and employees. In addition, this position is responsible for the distribution and support of all client technology across all instructional sites at Georgia Highlands College (GHC).


Responsibilities


• Assists Director of Client Technology & Media Services and/or IT Regional Operations Director in projects and technical implementation.

• Provides hardware and software support for faculty and staff for all College owned desktops, laptops, printers, and related peripherals on all GHC campuses and locations.

• Delivers enterprise-wide configuration, deployment, and management of hardware for all GHC desktops, laptops, smart devices, and computer peripherals.

• Installs, configures, and maintains all new computers and peripherals for the College.

• Provides tier-two telephone, email, web and in person client and technical support to faculty, staff, and students.

• Responsible for facilitating the resolution of student and employee user account issues.

• Assists in basic audio-visual duties within the IT Division.

• Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records for all GHC desktops and laptops.

• Assist customer in connecting their personal devices (smart phones, tablets, laptops) to GHC Wi-Fi.

• Assist with projects within the Information Technology Services Division.

• Coordinates with other IT personnel to diagnose and resolve system problems.

• This role is designed by the institution as a Position of Trust.

• Performs related duties.


Required Qualifications


• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a associates degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.

• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for two to three years.

• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.


Proposed Salary


This is an Hourly position and the salary is $23/hour.


The position is for 22 hours per week


The position reports to Andrea Mathis.
