Tax Preparer – Rome, GA

Howse, Rice & Brown, CPAs — a well-established accounting firm in Rome, GA — is seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team. We serve a diverse client base that includes individuals, businesses, trusts, estates, and nonprofit organizations. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare individual and business income tax returns
• Plan and calculate quarterly estimated tax payments
• Resolve IRS and state tax notices and inquiries
• Assist with client communication and relationship development
• Provide proactive tax planning for future years
•  Support bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax preparation as needed

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience in tax preparation
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws
• Proven ability to manage a wide range of tax situations independently
• Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills
