Student Success Specialist
The Student Success Specialist is primarily responsible for managing concerns for online students, assisting with the Office of Student Engagement and Success (SES), and administrative duties for the university’s Quality Enhancement Program (QEP). The position reports directly to the Director of SES and the Provost of the University.
Qualifications:
Organizational, analytical, and computer information skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple tasks with accuracy and timeliness. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the campus community. Professional experience in higher education is preferred. Bachelor’s degree required.
Job duties:
- Advise and manage schedules of online students to keep them on track for graduation
- Help process graduation applications when an online student nears completion of degree
- Manage student concerns for online students
- Process online student drop requests and withdrawal requests
- Complete and process paperwork such as substitution requests, independent study requests, exemption requests, internship requests, etc. for online students
- Register online students for their classes
- Act as a liaison between online students and professors when necessary
- QEP liaison for online students
- Other QEP administrative duties, as assigned
- Other SES duties as assigned.
