Sound and Video Technician
The sound and video technician provides sound and video support for the 9 a.m. and 11
a.m. Sunday worship services and occasional events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and mix live sound at the 9 a.m. contemporary worship service. Must be on site
by 7:45 a.m. for rehearsal prior to the worship service.
Prepare slides and any video presentations for the 9 a.m. service.
Schedule and assist volunteers to help with sound and slides during the 9 a.m. worship
service and with sound and live feed during the 11 a.m. traditional worship service.
Set up and mix live sound at the 11 a.m. worship service.
Start and stop the live feed of the 11 a.m. worship service and ensure that the recording
is posted to YouTube.
Set up and mix live sound at praise band rehearsal one Thursday a month from 5:30-7
p.m. Use this opportunity to integrate any changes to vocalists or instrumentalists into
the mix used for the Sunday services and to train new volunteers.
Securely store and maintain sound and video equipment.
Create and maintain a comprehensive inventory of equipment, including condition of
equipment and serial numbers. Advise of any needed repairs or replacement of
equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrate experience with mixing live sound, setting up and maintaining live sound
equipment, and use of church presentation software. The church is currently using
ProPresenter, Planning Center, SongSelect, and Praise Charts.
Must be able to work effectively with diverse individuals and teams of volunteers.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
This position reports to the Contemporary Worship Director. Salary $80 per week,
paid at the end of each month. Starting date as soon as possible.
