JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for assisting marketing efforts utilizing all forms of media to promote Rome, Cave Spring and Floyd County. Duties include creating content for websites and social platforms, creating marketing collateral, coordinating mass communications for email and text, building video and photography files, fulfilling media requests and tracking marketing efforts. Building memberships with community partners for the Hospitality Association.  Work involves coordinating with the Director of Communications and collaborating with marketing and sales professionals.

 KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Proficient in WordPress, Wix, CivicPlus, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Placer.ai

Proficient in mobile applications of videography and photography of settings, events, and people.

Proficient on all major social media platforms.

Proficient in oral and written communications.

Easily builds rapport with internal and external customers.

Design and publication layout skills.

Have the ability to multi task and work under multiple deadlines.

Knowledge of history, services, and upcoming events in Floyd County

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s Degree in Marketing or a minimum of 4 years’ experience in marketing/communications/sales.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Willingness to be available for evening and weekend work as needed.

• Must already possess or obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 within three (3) months of employment.
