RECREATION COORDINATOR

Berry College's Department of Recreation seeks a dynamic Recreation Coordinator to foster a thriving campus community through intramural sports, club sports, and facility management. As a critical member of the Department of Recreation, the Recreation Coordinator will:

  • Lead and manage a diverse intramural sports program.
  • Develop and provide leadership oversight of the club sports program.
  • Provide facility management of recreational spaces (e.g., fitness maintenance, pickleball and outdoor basketball courts, intramural fields, campsites, and disc golf courses).
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor student staff through Berry's LifeWorks Program.
  • Support the Office of Student Involvement's special events (e.g., Marthapalooza,  Finals Fest) and other campus events, such as orientation programming, Mountain Day, and Admission events.
  • Work collaboratively within the Department, Division, and across campus to support the Berry College mission.

The Recreation Coordinator position is a 10-month full-time position with competitive benefits and a salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.



REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor's degree and demonstrated knowledge and experience working in recreational sports are required. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills and be willing to mentor students.
