Position Summary:
The main function of this position is to support the Quality Manager in the management addition, this position will act in the absence of the Quality Manager.
Principal Tasks:
1. Take responsibility for QC work. Exchange information with quality department staff, the manufacturing department, and business partners regarding various quality issues such as in-process defects, KD claims, outflow defects, market claims, and in-house problems. Should identify problems, investigate their causes, make improvements and strive to prevent recurrence. Prepare reports as necessary. Be able to take action that will set an example for QC staff. Participate in meetings with Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, as necessary. Must be available to travel, some might require overnight stays. trips and overnight trips.
2. Manage the time until delivery of parts that are subject to changes such as process changes. Instruct QC staff on the RMMP and PPAP procedures to ensure no defects occur with modified parts.
3. Manage the time required for various processes such as new model transition approval/shipment approval procedures and PPAP for new parts and launch new models.
4. Participate in each project and summarize the implementation items for new initiatives to ensure a smooth transition.
5. Create an annual QC work plan (set target) and report on first pass rate, defect amount, and quality improvement status once a month. Regularly check to see if staff are progressing smoothly with their work, provide advice, and encourage them to continue working on it.
6. Prepare and coordinate for internal audits and external certification audits and act to ensure smooth response.
7. Train staff using procedures, forms, work instructions, etc. Regarding any missing documents, create them one by one and educate staff on them.
8. Acting as a substitute for the quality manager when the manager is absent or busy, and working to ensure that QC can carry out its duties smoothly. Maintain close contact with the quality manager to ensure information exchange and cooperation to avoid discrepancies
9. QC staff work management
10. Evaluate the performance of QC staff and provide guidance or discipline as necessary.
11. Control the QC budget.
12. Perform other duties as requested by the Quality Manager.
Work experience and job requirements:
1. Experience in QC (at minimum Supervisor level or above)
2. Experience using calipers, micrometers, and various gauges
3. Knowledge of measurement equipment used in quality environments
(CMM, layout machines, image processing, and more)
4. Knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)
5. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015
6. Ability to prepare reports
7. Ability to use Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
8. Basic numeracy skills
9. Ability to make decisions and respond with a focus on quality
10. Ability to communicate with all levels of the company
11. The ability to see something through to the end
12. Leadership, reliability and a likeable personality
13. Able to be punctual
14. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
