Projects Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Engineering Services, this position is responsible for managing and coordinating complex administrative projects, development projects, programs, or activities such as but not limited to SPLOST and Grant projects. Conduct research, provide data, make recommendations, and implement solutions to achieve project goals and objectives. Coordinates with Purchasing through the BID process and project completion. Also works closely with Finance for Grant compliance, grant reporting, SPLOST draws and SPLOST reporting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of administration, especially as related to management and supervision.
Knowledge of principles and techniques of construction with an emphasis on public infrastructure.
Knowledge of relevant federal and state laws, local ordinances, departmental regulations and procedures, and city policies and procedures.
Knowledge of the operations of other city departments in the areas of water, sewer, and public works.
Skill in oral and written communications.
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
The ability to interpret Engineering and Architectural Drawings to ensure the construction of infrastructure in compliance with said Drawings.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Five (5) years of increasingly responsible experience in project management, planning, business, finance, or a related field.
- Must already possess or obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100, 200, 700, and 800 within three (3) months of employment.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from state of residency.
