Position Summary

The Patient Check-Out Coordinator is responsible for managing the patient check-out process, scheduling follow-up appointments, collecting payments, assisting with administrative tasks, and helping maintain smooth office workflow.

Medical office experience is preferred. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to multitask in a busy healthcare environment.

We are currently seeking a dependable, organized, and friendly Check-Out Clerical Staff member to join our growing team.

This position is extremely important in helping patients leave their appointments feeling supported, informed, and cared for.

Responsibilities

Check patients out after appointments

Schedule follow-up visits and future appointments

Collect copays, balances, and payments

Review provider instructions with patients when needed

Assist patients with portal access and paperwork

Answer phones and route calls appropriately

Verify demographic and insurance information

Scan and upload documents into the EMR system

Maintain organized and accurate patient records

Help ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office

Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment

Qualifications

Experience in a medical office preferred

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment

Comfortable using computers and EMR systems

Professional appearance and positive attitude

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to work well with providers, staff, and patients
