Job Summary: The Parent Aide Supervisor operates in a leadership capacity in a very active agency.  The supervisor is our first point of contact with new referrals and must be able to assess family needs and engage families into service. The supervisor provides administrative/program oversight to our Parent Aide staff and will assist with grant reports and similar administrative tasks.  Our supervisor must be a strong collaborator with other agencies and professionals and have strong organizational skills. Works directly with the Executive Director and must be committed to best practices in family support. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Weekly face to face supervision with Parent Aide staff and documentation of same 

Regular review of case files to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and best practice  

Participation in community-based meetings 

Maintain case manual and program forms and ensure in compliance with model standards 

Coordinate initial and ongoing staff training 

Maintain case file checklist at least monthly 

Carry out routine administrative tasks that include: maintaining intake logs, monthly case lists, grant reporting, database entries 

Guide staff on program/service delivery and ensure families receive a high-quality of service in keeping with our evidence-based model 

 

Qualifications: 

Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in psychology, sociology, social services, or other related human services field (or equivalent experience) plus a minimum of three years of home visitation experience. Supervisory experience in social services preferred. 

 

Skills: 

Must have strong written and verbal communication skills (must be able to write independently without use of AI) 

Must be able to meet deadlines, with high attention to detail and accuracy 

Must deal with crisis situations effectively, and exhibit sound decision-making skills 

Proficient in use of Excel, Word and Outlook in Microsoft Office Suite 

Reliable transportation, the ability to transport parents and/or children, and adequate vehicle liability insurance is required. 

Strong time-management and organization 

 

Working conditions: 

Full-time position with standard work hours; must have an ability to work past 5 pm 1-2 days per week 

Combination of field, home, and office settings.
