Weld Technician

Job Description

Check, Setup, weld, & Cut parts to blueprints. all part must be check by using tape measure and angle measuring devices ensue all part are manufactured correctly and defect free.

Responsibilities: 

• Weld quality parts and complete units as required.
• Maintain a Clean and safe workspace.
• Produce a high-Quality product in the time allocated.
• Reading and working with engineering drawings.
• Checking parts to drawings before welding to ensure parts are correct.
• Manage your time effectively to meet targets and deadlines.
• Organize and stack part on pallets to transfer between departments.
• Keeping a clean and organized toolbox ensuring all assigned tools are present.

Requirements:

• Excellent Communication and team playing skills.
• Must be able to read tape measure using standard and metric measurements.
• Know and understand Basic weld symbols.
• Must be able to read and understand engineering drawing.
• Must have experience of using measuring equipment, including Verniers and angle measuring devise.
• Must have experience with many Steel cutting tool such as Band saw, Grinders, Torches, Die grinders...
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be able to stand for long periods.
• Must be able to lift 50LBS.
• 1 -2 years of experience with MIG welding and/or Stick welding.
• Must pass welding test to be considered for this position.
