Pay Rate: $85,000 annual - starting pay
Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on, metrics-driven Manufacturing Operations Manager to oversee our plant’s quality assurance, workplace safety, and equipment maintenance functions. In this role, you will take full ownership of operational uptime, regulatory compliance, and product standards. You will directly manage, mentor, and schedule a lean, dedicated team of 2 to 4 specialized technicians to keep our facility running safely and at peak efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Manage, schedule, and develop a small team of 2 to 4 maintenance and quality technicians.
- Safety & Compliance: Serve as the site safety lead, enforcing OSHA standards and leading incident investigations.
- Maintenance & Uptime: Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and reduce repair costs.
- Quality Assurance: Own the site quality metrics, manage corrective action plans, and resolve product defects.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze plant performance data to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and improve safety scores.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external contractors for specialized equipment repairs or facility upgrades.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of preventive maintenance systems and quality control methodologies.
- Safety Certification: Prior experience managing OSHA compliance (OSHA 10 or 30 certification is highly preferred).
- Leadership Style: Proven ability to lead, coach, and hold accountable a small team of technical professionals.
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot mechanical issues and quality deviations quickly.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to split time between an office environment and the manufacturing floor.
- Ability to stand, walk, and inspect machinery for extended periods.
- Flexibility to support the team during urgent equipment breakdowns or off-shift emergencies.
Schedule -
4-10 hr days Monday- Thursday , 6am to 4:30pm
