Job Summary

Metra Profile is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team.  The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing facility equipment and systems. This role ensures minimal production downtime by performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs on complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic systems in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment & Machinery Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing machinery, including automated production lines, motors, and conveyor systems.
• Electrical Maintenance: Read electrical schematics to diagnose and repair electrical faults, wiring issues, control panels, switches, and motor controls (PLC knowledge is a plus).
• Pneumatic Systems: Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pneumatic components such as air compressors, cylinders, valves, regulators, and piping networks to ensure proper air pressure and flow.
• Facility Plumbing: Install, maintain, and repair industrial plumbing systems, including water lines, drainage, pumps, and facility piping.
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) routines on all production equipment and facility infrastructure to prevent breakdowns.
• Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, OSHA safety standards, and correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Documentation: Accurate logging of work orders, maintenance tasks, parts used, and equipment performance in the facility management system.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 3+ years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Technical Knowledge: Proven expertise in industrial electricity, facility plumbing, and pneumatic system mechanics.
• Schematic Reading: Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
• Problem-Solving: Sharp analytical skills to identify mechanical or systemic failures under time-sensitive production constraints.
• Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and stand or bend for long periods.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an industrial maintenance apprenticeship or relevant trade school certification preferred.
