Position: Lower Elementary Assistant Teacher/Guide (Grades 1-3)

Are you passionate about working with children and inspired by the Montessori approach to education? Montessori School of Rome is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Lower Elementary Assistant Teacher/Guide to support a thriving classroom community and help students develop independence, confidence, and a lifelong love of learning.

What You'll Do

- Support the Lead Teacher in implementing Montessori lessons and maintaining a prepared learning environment.

- Build positive, respectful relationships with students and guide them with patience and enthusiasm.

- Help maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom.

- Observe students, assist with recordkeeping, and support ongoing student assessments.

- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth.

- Assist with classroom routines, materials preparation, and daily operations.

- Attend staff meetings, parent meetings, and professional development opportunities as needed.

- Ensure compliance with school policies and state licensing requirements.
