Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required); Associate degree or 5+ Years of experience (Required) 

 

Position Summary 

As a Lead Control Panel Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the fabrication, assembly, and wiring of industrial control panels while ensuring all products meet high quality and safety standards, including UL508A specifications. In addition to managing the daily workflow of the panel shop, you will take the lead on complex, low-volume custom builds that require a higher level of technical expertise. You will lead a team of technicians, provide mentorship and hands-on guidance, and work closely with engineering and project management to interpret schematics and layout drawings, manage production schedules, and troubleshoot intricate control systems. Your expertise will ensure efficient workflow, quality control checks, and the timely completion of all projects, contributing directly to the success of our panel shop and the satisfaction of our customers. 

Leadership and Communication Skills 

  • Team Leadership: Provide hands-on guidance and training to junior technicians, ensuring all team members are proficient in assembly and wiring techniques and adhere to safety protocols. 

  • Mentorship and Development: Act as a mentor to the team, fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages skill development and continuous improvement. 

  • Clear Communication: Effectively communicate project goals, technical specifications, and production schedules to the team, and provide clear and timely feedback on performance. 

  • Collaboration: Liaise with engineering and project management teams to resolve issues, clarify designs, and ensure project alignment. 

  • Problem-SolvingDemonstrate strong leadership in troubleshooting complex control system issues, guiding the team to quick and effective solutions.
