Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and technically minded Entry-Level IT Support Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic networking, VOIP systems, and computer maintenance and repair, along with working knowledge of Windows operating systems. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a foundation in IT support while working alongside experienced professionals.


Key Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support to staff, assisting with hardware, software, and network issues

Set up, configure, and troubleshoot VOIP phones and systems

Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on desktop and laptop computers

Assist in network setup and basic troubleshooting (LAN/WAN, routers, switches, cabling)

Support the installation and configuration of Windows operating systems and applications

Document support requests, resolutions, and system changes in helpdesk or ticketing systems

Maintain an organized inventory of IT equipment and supplies

Collaborate with senior IT staff on larger projects and system rollouts


Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s degree or IT certification preferred)

Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and peripherals

Knowledge of Windows 10/11 setup and troubleshooting

Familiarity with VOIP technology and systems (e.g., Cisco, Asterisk, 3CX)

Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches)

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to learn quickly and work both independently and in a team environment


Preferred Qualifications/Certifications (not required)

  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11 setup and troubleshooting
    • Microsoft Certified: Windows Support Technician

Familiarity with VOIP technology and systems (e.g., Cisco, Asterisk, 3CX)

  • Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, routers, switches)
    • CompTIA A+ (Certification)
    • CompTIA Network+ (Certification)
