Job Summary


This position prepares and delivers instruction for the Glenda Mitchell Paralegal Program as a part-time instructor for Georgia Highlands College, a multi-site college in the University System of Georgia.


Responsibilities


comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies


Provides ongoing support and guidance to participants throughout the program


Evaluates student progress in attaining goals, objectives, and learning outcomes


Maintains accurate records of participant attendance, schedules and course requirements including hours of instruction and content


Maintains timely and proper communication with participants and Director via phone, email, and other electronic means


Delivers course content that reflects current legal practices, ethical standards, and paralegal competencies


Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree Criminal Justice or a related field


Significant professional experience as a paralegal, legal assistant, or in a comparable legal role


Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly


Proficiency with legal research databases (e.g., LexisNexis, Westlaw) and common office/legal software.


Proposed Salary


The salary for this position is $3000


The course is planned to start March 2026 and will meet once a week for 12 weeks.
