Position Purpose: 

The Information Architect role provides overall direction, guidance, definition for the development of current and future information architecture required to meet the business needs. Responsibilities include aligning IS architecture to match to the business needs, support of current IS strategies, identification of the business’s drivers to derive useful context, and analysis of the current IS ecosystem in Summit Hill Foods to detect critical deficiencies, and recommend solutions for improvement.

The Information Architect is responsible for improving business performance through enterprise information solutions, such as metadata management, business intelligence, analytics, and related information infrastructure components. The focus is on the information repositories and information flows that will meet the requirements of the business strategies and business processes.

The Information Architect collaborate with all workstreams to proactively assist in assisting business process owners to analyze requirements, define scope and manage projects. They are involved in all aspects of the project life cycle, from the initial kickoff through the requirements analysis, design, and implementation. Additional responsibilities include establishing overall architectural viewpoints and oversight of organization standards and policies. Architects identify major system interfaces, business capabilities need, and existing architecture weaknesses and opportunities for systems.

Related Experience 

Excellent working knowledge and experience to build, configure, administer, troubleshoot and support information technologies and solutions such as: SAP HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP ECC and S4 HANA.

Excellent analytical skills to investigate problems in systems, processes, services and can contribute to the implementation of remedies and preventative measures. Has capability to dissect a problem into its component parts to identify and diagnose root causes, allowing problem resolution. 

Ability to maintains focus on service delivery and ensures that a set of IT products, suppliers and vendors come together to deliver an IT service.

Able to build and test simple interfaces between systems, or can work on more complex integration as part of a wider team.

Integrates and tests components, systems and their interfaces to create operational services.

Ability to plan, design, manage, execute and report tests, using appropriate tools and techniques.
