Industrial Sales Customer Service Representative

Our Industrial Sales Customer Service Representatives (CSR) respond to inquiries, process orders and resolve customer issues while providing information on industrial products and services. Key tasks include managing customer accounts, checking inventory and shipping status, and collaborating with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Support - Serve as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, concerns, resolving issues and providing detailed information about products and services.
Order Processing - Process customers orders, handle billing and confirm stock availability and shipping dates.
Sales Support - Assist the outside sales team by providing price quotes, sourcing products and identifying potential sales opportunities.
Account Management - Update customer records, manage accounts and document all interactions and inquiries.
Problem Resolution - Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate teams.
Relationship Building - Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers and coworkers.
Product Knowledge - Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products and services to provide accurate information and recommendations.
Reporting - Track pending orders by utilizing the report option in our system to monitor the status of each sale.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree is often a plus
- Proven customer service experience
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build rapport and maintain professional relationships
- Technical aptitude to understand industrial products and their applications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
