Brothers Place is a Christian transitional housing program for men in Rome, Ga. Our mission is to empower, equip and enrich the lives of men through the love of Jesus Christ. Our facility houses and educates men coming from rehabs, prisons, jails and other rehabilitative programs. We operate as a sober-living and reentry program.
Title: House Supervisor
Job Description: The House Supervisor is responsible for maintaining structure, safety, and daily operations within a residential transitional housing program. This role requires consistent oversight of the facility, clear documentation, and direct interaction with clients to ensure program expectations are upheld. This is a hands-on position that combines administrative responsibility, client engagement, and facility upkeep.
Schedule Requirements:
Must be available for day or night shifts. (Our facility is open 24/7)
Weekend availability required
Some holiday coverage required
Schedule may vary based on program needs: Flexibility is expected
Core Responsibilities:
Facility Oversight
Monitor the house environment to ensure safety, order, and adherence to program rules
Answer front desk phone and respond to door inquiries in a professional and controlled manner
Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, vendors, and incoming communication
Client Engagement & Accountability
Maintain awareness of client activities and general compliance within the program
Address minor issues through calm, direct communication and basic de-escalation
Observe and report behavioral concerns, rule violations, or safety risks
Documentation & Reporting
Complete accurate, timely, and professional documentation using the program’s electronic system
Record shift activity, incidents, and relevant client interactions
Report infractions and concerns to leadership for follow-up and action
Conflict Management
Provide basic de-escalation in tense situations
Immediately escalate serious incidents, threats, or safety concerns to program leadership
Cleaning & Maintenance
Perform full cleaning responsibilities for the facility, including common areas, bathrooms, and shared spaces
Maintain a clean, orderly, and respectful living environment consistently
Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to pass a background check
Reliable transportation
Strong communication and observation skills
Ability to remain calm, firm, and professional under pressure
Committed to the Brother’s Place Mission
Preferred:
Experience in recovery programs, behavioral health, and/or ministry settings
Prior experience in residential or client-facing environments
Work Expectations:
This role requires consistency, attention to detail, and accountability
Employee must be comfortable enforcing structure while maintaining professionalism
Participation in regular training sessions, including reading materials, is required to maintain standards, improve skills, and ensure alignment with program expectations
This position requires the ability to uphold program standards without compromise, even when faced with resistance
Staff are expected to remain engaged, observant, and responsive throughout their shift
