Graduate Assistant - Enterprise Analytics
Enterprise Analytics, a department within the Office of Information Technology at Berry College, seeks applications for a graduate assistant who can help with the day-to-day operations of Berry's analytics infrastructure. We expect this position to develop datasets and reports, assist with the administration and maintenance of analytics infrastructure, and help other departments effectively leverage analytics.
This position may serve as an excellent opportunity for those looking to gain experience as a data professional or to improve their skills within the domains of business intelligence, enterprise analytics, or data engineering.
Graduate assistants receive an hourly wage in addition to tuition remission for Berry's MBA program and are expected to work 20 hours per week, primarily during business hours. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and administer analytics artifacts such as datasets, reports, and analyses, to be used within Power BI.
- Assist with the administration, deployment, and maintenance of analytics architecture including Berry's data lake, data warehouses, and semantic models. Perform these duties across multiple platforms, including Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
- Collect and analyze requirements from campus business units. Translate these requirements into analytics deliverables.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Admission to the Berry MBA as a part-time, two-year student.
- Experience working with data in a professional context. Experience with a business intelligence tool (including Power BI or Tableau) or an analytics platform (including Fabric, Databricks, or Snowflake) preferred.
- Experience analyzing business processes.
- Professionalism and trustworthiness with confidential data.
- Ability to think critically, logically, and effectively about the content, application, and context of data.
- Ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
