Harvest Moon Café’s story began in 1998 as a small bread market in Cave Spring, Georgia. Since then, we’ve grown into a vibrant, high-energy restaurant in downtown Rome, known for fresh, locally sourced food and a unique atmosphere. Located in the historic Fahy Department Store (built 1895), Harvest Moon Café serves lunch, dinner, Sunday brunch, and late-night guests with two full-service bars.

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Fry Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

Job Description:
The Fry Line Cook is responsible for preparing all fried menu items to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and timing. This role is essential to maintaining smooth kitchen operations during high-volume service.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in a fast-paced restaurant, preferably on fry or hot line
• Passion for food, hospitality, and kitchen work
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
• ServeSafe certification is a plus
• PM availability is a must
• Weekend availability required

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain fryers, ensuring proper oil levels and temperature control
• Prepare fried foods according to established recipes and portion standards
• Ensure food is cooked to proper temperature, texture, and presentation
• Monitor oil quality and perform regular filtering and maintenance
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of fry station and surrounding areas
• Stock and organize fry station to support efficient service
• Work closely with other line cooks to ensure timely ticket execution
• Follow all food safety, handling, and storage procedures
• Rotate stock and ensure freshness of ingredients
• Adhere to all kitchen policies, standards, and procedures
