Front Desk / Patient Communications Specialist

Location: Rome, GA

Single Doctor, single location Oral Surgery Office

Greet patients as they enter.

Input patient information- includes scanning and attaching all files to chart, entering copy all insurance information

Copy and update any forms

Make all marketing flyers

Keep list of needed items for new patient gifts so they can be ordered.

Make new patient bags

Help with mailing monthly statements

Maintain a clean work environment

Stock coffee bar

Help with cleaning schedule and supply list for to order

Scan all charts / consents/ documents after notes have been entered into charts.

Scan and attach any and all information to patients’ charts. Not limited to consents and forms.

Get any referrals and x-rays needed from referring offices.

Check patient manager regularly for patient messages.

Call and confirm verbally all patients (especially IV Sedations are confirmed and instructions have been gone over at least 24 hours prior to day of procedure)

Make sure to fill any spots on schedule that are open if someone cancels

Confirm pre-operative oral sedation taken (if IV or N2O premed)

Confirm pre-operative antibiotic rinse before implant procedures

Blood thinner clearances & reminders

Send patient EMR notes to referring providers after visit complete

MUST BE DEPENDABLE AND HAVE MEDICAL OR DENTAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE
