Job Summary: The Front Desk Hotel Receptionist is the first point of contact for our guests and plays a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer service. This position requires a friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to handle a variety of tasks while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Check-In/Check-Out: Efficiently manage guest check-ins and check-outs, including room assignments, issuing room keys, and providing information about hotel services and amenities.
  • Reservations Management: Handle reservations by phone, email, and in person, ensuring accuracy and offering information on room availability and rates.
  • Guest Services: Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, providing solutions to enhance their stay. Offer recommendations for local attractions and services.
  • Administrative Duties: Perform clerical tasks such as maintaining records, handling correspondence, and processing payments. Ensure all guest information is accurate and confidential.
  • Communication: Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other hotel departments to ensure that guest requests and needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Problem Solving: Manage guest complaints and concerns with professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.
  • Safety and Security: Monitor security systems and ensure guest safety by following proper protocols. Report any irregularities or concerns to management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in hospitality management is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hotel reception role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.

Working Conditions:

  • May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate weight.
