Facilities Technician
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. The Facilities Technician will be responsible for overall cleanliness and upkeep of 3 buildings; maintaining, repairing, and improving our facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. The Facilities Technician will report to our main office in Rome each day, and travel to Summerville and Carrollton throughout the week (vehicle provided). Some evenings will be required to do cleanings or repairs while the offices are closed.
General Duties:
- Clean interior and exteriors of buildings on a prescribed schedule
- Maintain landscaping (mow, weed, trim, etc.)
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, light carpentry work, and general maintenance
- Inspect buildings and equipment for safety hazards and compliance with regulations
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- Experience in facilities maintenance and/or janitorial work
- Strong customer service skills for interacting with staff and external vendors
- Must be bondable and pass a background check
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
