Job Summary
This position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Facilities Management. This position may be called upon to perform any tasks, primarily, but not restricted to, any maintenance repair or renovation project, as needed, and assist in the completion of any project or work request that Facilities management may be involved in, when deemed necessary by and at the discretion of the Director and /or the Administration of the University. This position will work closely with the Director regarding the possible major repair of any equipment to determine if an outside contractor needs to be contacted.
Qualifications
Current Driver’s License and safe driving record.
A good background in building maintenance and related issues and subjects including experience in power and hand tools.
Job Duties
This position is responsible for, but not restricted to, trouble shooting and repairing problems related to electrical, HVAC, filter cleaning and changing, plumbing, locksets and doors, windows, ceiling tile replacement, light fixtures and bulb replacement & proper storage of used fluorescent tubes and hi pressure bulbs, emergency and exit lights, and any mechanical equipment, at the discretion and as requested by the Director of Facilities.
This position will assist in inspecting and maintaining compliance with all EPA and OSHA regulations as they are trained.
