JOB SUMMARY:

The work of this position involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment at the City’s WRFs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of the basic operation of the Water Reclamation Facilities.
• Knowledge of City policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of City, State, and National Electric Codes.
• Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment of the electrical trade.
• Knowledge of electronic circuits and analog, digital, and computer logic.
• Knowledge of mechanically and hydraulically operated devices.
• Skill in using such precision equipment as voltmeter, amp meter, TDM calibrator, and oscilloscope.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and software utilization.
• Skill in oral and written communication.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possession of a high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a technical/vocational program that includes basic electrical theory and concepts, wiring, circuitry, and safety.
• Completion of an apprenticeship/internship or experience in a similar position for one year.
• Possession of or the ability to attain a GAWP Class 3 Maintenance Technologist certification within one year of employment.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license from state of residency.

Must obtain National Incident Management Systems (NIMS) 100 and 700 within three (3) months of employment.
