Electrical Maintenance position in a manufacturing environment for night shift 7pm – 7am on a rotating schedule.
Responsible for general electrical maintenance including the ability to troubleshoot, repair and PM plant equipment. This includes a general working knowledge of electrical principles for diagnostic and electrical repairs of Extrusion, Heat-set and Yarn related manufacturing equipment completes scheduled PM of equipment to ensure optimal performance and reduce downtime.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Must have 2 to 3 years maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
- Proficient using all facility equipment and machinery to allow for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and resolve other basic operating problems
- Ability to read electrical prints and trace circuits
- Ability to interpret volt meter readings
- Ability to achieve results through team efforts.
- Ability to obtain PIT certification.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Other:
- Must be able to walk long distances.
- Climb on machinery and stand for long periods of time.
- Bending, crouching, and stooping may be required.
- Must be able to work in non-climate controlled facilities.
- Work environment is a noisy, high traffic manufacturing production floor.
- May be required to work a flexible schedule to include evening and night shifts, weekends and holidays.
Major Functions:
- Follows all SAFETY guidelines and procedures established at facility.
- Machinery Lock- Out training and compliance.
- Wear appropriate PPE and promote a safe working environment.

- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Completes planned work from weekly downtime and all scheduled PM maintenance.
- Assures all work performed meets the quality and safety requirements.
- Reports any issues with equipment to Plant or Electrical Lead.
- Completes Root Cause Analysis on all equipment failures to eliminate repeat failures.
- Ensures maintenance solutions are permanent fixes and meet all requirements for safe operation under company policies.
- Must work with all maintenance personnel and outside contractors to keep equipment operational and to complete projects.
- Performs any other duties as assigned.
Experience troubleshooting electrical systems:
- Basic circuit tracing to determine problem.
- Drive diagnostic and programming
- Able to read electrical circuit diagrams.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems.
- Maintain equipment condition by communicating necessary repairs.
