Draftsman / Assistant Engineer 

SHIFT: Monday - Friday; 8:00AM - 5:00PM; (with a 1hr lunch break) 

PAY RATE: Pay and benefits negotiable based on experience 

Job Description: 

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman/Assistant Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the design and drafting of steel components, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This role involves critical tasks in drafting, data management, and assisting with CNC operations.

Essential Job Functions: 

 Data entry of sizes, lengths and quantities into nesting software 

 Takeoffs of customer provided drawings and entry into quoting software 

 Transferring drawings and sketches from PDF’s to CAD, SolidWorks etc. 

 Output files from applicable programs to CNC saws, plasma and lasers 

 Light clerical and organization duties 

 Assist the Chief Engineer and Plasma Manager however needed

Requirements: 

 Highschool Diploma or GED 

 College level education or job experience in CAD and/or related software 

 Experience with 3D CAD programming (preferably SolidWorks) 

 Fluent in Excel 

 Ability and willingness to learn new software
