ABOUT COOSA COUNTRY CLUB
Coosa Country Club (CCC) is a premier private country club located just outside downtown Rome, Georgia. Established in 1909, this historical club has been recently updated to address the changing needs of a gracious, family-oriented membership. At the center of all the activities is the 42,000 sq. ft. clubhouse with amenities that include multiple member dining spaces, a members' lounge, fire pits, fitness center, banquet spaces seating over 500, plus a pre-function living room area. The clubhouse is surrounded by an 18-hole golf course, year-round golf learning center, aquatics complex with splash pad and 220,000 gallon swimming pool, and 11 outdoor tennis courts.


FOOD & BEVERAGE PROGRAM
A la carte dining venues at CCC include The Greenside (seats 90), The 1909 Room (seats 50), Lounge Bar (seats 32), Golf Snack Bar and outside patio (seats 32) and newly renovated SPLASH Pool Pavilion (seats 60). CCC serves as the perfect venue for a wide variety of events from weddings, banquets, and cocktail parties to corporate meetings, seminars, and golf outings. The Alhambra Ballroom seats approximately 350 people and there are four additional private rooms that can seat up to an additional 150 members and guests.


ABOUT THE POSITION
The Catering Director is responsible for selling, planning, and coordinating all aspects of private events and meeting functions held at the Club including the anticipation of staffing levels necessary to service needs. The successful candidate will foster relationships with Members and community partners who book events so as to grow repeat business and prospect new events. This position works closely with the F&B Manager and Executive Chef. The successful candidate will prepare quarterly sales forecasts and is responsible for achieving the budgeted sales plan.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 2-4 years experience as a Catering / Private Events Director within an upscale hospitality environment.
  • Solid understanding of banquet revenue generation with proven track record of sales performance
  • Creative menu development skills
  • High energy, outgoing personality
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to details
  • Diplomatic team player who us able to foster relationships with Members, employee partners and guests
  • Ability to monitor Club and staff operating standards and procedures
