Deposit Operations Specialist

Summary

Performs centralized functions in support of the Deposit Operations Department to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of branch operations are in conformance with established Bank policies and procedures.  Acts as a key contact for branches relating to deposit operational issues and assists in resolving issues impacting the branch’s ability to provide prompt, responsive service to customers. 

Essential Functions/Competencies

Deposit Operations Activity/Operational Knowledge

 

  • Assist in setup and service customers with Remote Deposit Capture (RDC)
  • Assist in setup and service ACH Origination customers
  • ATM and ACH general ledger balancing
  • Back up to other functions in Deposit Operations area
  • Daily fraud monitoring through review of system alerts, large dollar item review
  • Develop and distribute written procedures for various departments throughout the bank
  • Deposit document scanning
  • Communicates proactively and consistently with team members regarding developments and changes in bank operations, compliance, and loss prevention.  
  • Actively listen, speak, and act in a manner that results in powerful and effective action internally and externally. This includes expertise in written communications
  • Position requires high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Individual must exhibit ability to prioritize workday efficiently.
  • Individual must be able to handle conflict in a professional manner, exhibit professionalism in communication skills, and must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Provide a superior level of customer service and customer relations
  • Ability to take initiative and utilize sound judgment in decision-making and problem solving and involves Deposit Operations Manager


Position Type/Expected Hours/Travel

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a. m. to 5:30 p.m.

This position could involve some travel to other branch locations and customer locations occasionally.


Experience and Education Requirements

  • High School Degree or equivalent required; Associate’s or equivalent two-year college or technical school preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years Bank Operations experience required 
  • IT experience preferred
