Homegrown Family Foods is the proud owner and distributor of the retail brands Southeastern Mills, Shore Lunch, Kentucky Kernel, Southern Biscuit, Tenda-Bake, Nancy Jane's and more! We provide delicious food products to grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants, hotels, bakeries, and military bases all throughout the country. We are seeking high performing individuals to join our growing team in Rome!


Purpose of Position: As Customer Service Coordinator, you will be an essential link between our customers and other team members. Responsibilities include communication and information sharing with customers, order entry, resolution of customer issues by researching problems with orders or shipments, consulting and coordinating with scheduling, sales, and logistics. This position is a great fit for someone who is a skilled problem solver, talented communicator and can help address challenges in a fast-paced environment with patience and positivity.


Position Responsibilities:

The essential functions of our Coordinator include:

- Retrieving order information from customers, ensuring it is complete and correct, then entering, double checking and confirming orders.

- Constantly communicating with customers, brokers, sales, logistics, accounting and others regarding issues with shipments, order placements, pricing and payment issues, etc.

- Creating and managing 100% accuracy of documentation throughout the order and fulfillment process.

- Successfully learning and utilizing our organizational ERP system (Netsuite)

- Building quality relationships with our customers to successfully communicate on their behalf.

- Working closely with our supply chain, inventory and purchasing teams to ensure product availability.

- Coordinating sample processes for customers and for the sales team, such as shipments for trade shows.


Qualifications and Skills:

Our ideal Coordinator candidate will have:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in manufacturing
  • Intermediate computer skills including the ability to learn and navigate our ERP system and customer portals necessary to submit and retrieve documentation.
  • High proficiency in Outlook, Excel and Word in Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong oral and written communication in English.
  • Effective time management skills, ability to prioritize and manage details in a fast-paced environment.  Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • The ability to assist customers with a positive, flexible, and patient approach.
  • Ability to successfully work within our organizational culture of valuing teammates, working with integrity and transparency, team collaboration, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Minimum education of High School diploma or GED.
