Job Summary
This position provides administrative and program support and clinical placement coordination for the School of Health Sciences' operations mainly in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
Responsibilities
Is responsible for understanding, support, and carrying out the college's mission, vision, and values and comply with mandates and regulations of government and accrediting bodies.
Administrative and Program Support RN to BSN and BSN Program
•
Oversees the entire application and admission process for RN-BSN and traditional BSN
•
Answers telephone and greet students and visitors; provides information on associate degree nursing (BSN) program and assistance; and refers to appropriate personnel
• Organizes and maintains files and records for BSN programs faculty and students
• Collects required documents and records from BSN students prior to enrollment
• Advises and recruits students for BSN programs
• Assist applicants with application process
• Serves as a liaison to GHC office admissions
• Sends admissions letters and materials to BSN program applicants each semester
• Mentor's students coming into the college and current BSN students by appointments or dropping in
• Records minutes from the BSN faculty meetings
Clinical Placements RN to BSN and BSN Program
•
Serves as liaison between nursing program and outside healthcare originations for clinical placement
•
Serves as key contact for clinical placement activities for the programs with outside health care organizations
•
Manages all student and faculty credentialing requirements
•
Collects required documents and records from students prior to clinical or internship placement
•
Organizes and maintains files and records for preceptors and clinical facilities
•
Communicates clinical entry requirements for faculty and student groups in a timely manner
•
Sets up and manages student orientations regarding clinical placement credentialing
•
Keeps records of clinical facilities requirements and updates them as required
•
Manages multiple clinical placement systems
•
Maintains compliance with local and state agencies for clinical placements
•
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
•
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in nursing, business/ health administration, other health care profession, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years of experience or service
• Experience in a health care or higher education setting
• Must be able to relate well and develop working rapport with faculty/staff, internal depart
•
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
•
Required to hold a GHC purchasing card which requires a credit check to receive and continue holding a purchasing card.
Proposed Salary
$58,635 annual salary
