Clean Air is a rapidly growing company and today, we operate out of three sites manufacturing various dust collection equipment and consumables with two of the sites in Rome, GA.
Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting and HR activities within the Rome, GA and Russellville, KY plant. This role ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial data, provides insightful analysis and reporting, and supports strategic decision-making to enhance the plant's financial performance. The Plant Controller will work closely with various departments to drive financial efficiency, cost control, and profitability. This is a full-time role with onsite location in Rome, GA.
- Directly managing the AR and AP teams and having control over the cash functions of the business.
- Oversee payroll and all HR functions.
- Prepares special financial and statistical reports including month end close, and analyzes unusual items on financial or accounting reports.
- Assists in inventory control by monitoring and analyzing inventory levels, and is a leader in the annual physical inventory
- Monitors plant performance and cost factors daily and informs and advises management of pertinent information and trends.
- Provides daily and weekly reports as required.
- Creates and reviews measurable goals for department staff.
- Manages and optimizes overhead expenditure.
Skills Required to Perform the Job:
- Five years of progressive experience in finance.
- Must be able to analyze and interpret key financial dates to drive operational decisions.
- Must be pro-active in avoidance of unnecessary problems.
- Must be able to effectively solve problems using root cause analysis.
- Computer knowledge of ERP and reporting systems (such as OneStream)
- Self-directed with a high degree of self- motivation.
- Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- At least one year of operational accounting experience in manufacturing and at least 2 years of experience in an accounting supervisory role.
Educational Requirements:
- Completion of Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, accounting or finance and may possess a CMA or CPA.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods.
- Regular standing, bending, lifting, sitting, walking required as part of this job.
- Occasionally lifts and carries up to 15 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Works within steel components manufacturing, office.
- Eye protection required.
- Safety shoes required as needed.
