At NWGA Center for Independent Living, we help individuals with disabilities move out of nursing facilities and back into their homes, their communities, and their independence.
We’re looking for someone compassionate, organized, and motivated to join our team.
What You’ll Do
You’ll help people take one of the biggest steps of their lives, moving from a facility back into the community.
Your role will include:
• Meeting with individuals in nursing facilities to talk about their options
• Helping people create a plan to live independently
• Connecting individuals with housing, services, and community resources
• Assisting with paperwork like IDs, applications, and benefits
• Coordinating with local agencies to support successful transitions
• Advocating for accessible housing, transportation, and support services
What We’re Looking For
You might be a great fit if you:
• Care about helping others and making a difference
• Are organized and good with follow-through
• Communicate well with different types of people
• Can work independently but also enjoy being part of a team
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree OR experience in human services
• Basic computer skills
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within NWGA
✨ Experience with healthcare, social services, or disability services is a plus, but not required
