The community you'll be caring for: AdventHealth Gordon

The role you'll contribute: The Manager is responsible for assisting the Georgia Market community advocacy team with outreach across Redmond, Gordon, and Murray hospitals. This position promotes the utilization of system tools and processes such as the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), community health plans, community benefit tracking, volunteer and board engagement, and community resource network. Additionally, this position compiles data-informed initiatives centered on community needs and utilizes infrastructure for communicating, tracking, and enhancing community benefit efforts. This role supports internal partners to amplify community impact and community advocacy strategies. In addition, this position encourages hospitals to initiate programs that benefit the community and address health needs outlined in the CHNA.

The Manager is also responsible for working with market leadership on community advocacy initiatives. This includes collaborating with strategic nonprofit partners and hospital leadership to connect the CHNA with community health plans. The role ensures hospital leadership is engaged in the community and represented on local boards. This position collaborates with internal departments and external organizations to develop, implement, track, and report community programs and initiatives in alignment with assessed needs and plans. The Manager participates in the CHNA process, assists in convening appropriate committees, and develops community health plans for Redmond, Gordon, and Murray hospitals. Additionally, the role manages the collection and recording of community benefit activities.

  • Coordinates and leads related collaborations and committees.

  • Manages hospital community benefit program activations and evaluations.

  • Serves as a point of contact for leadership on community benefit initiatives to ensure inclusion within strategic and financial planning processes.

  • Compiles metrics and reports for program strategies and objectives, including annual evaluations.

  • Supports relationships with external partners, including nonprofit organizations, foundations, community influencers, and business leaders.

  • Activates sponsorship and fundraising opportunities for events and programs benefiting community health.

  • Keeps AdventHealth Georgia Market leaders informed of community work, providing strategic opportunities to speak, attend events, serve on boards, and be visible in the community.

  • Collaborates with related hospital departments to enhance community relationships.

  • Manages support and tracking of hospital community benefit program activations and evaluations across the Georgia Market.

  • Develops community needs assessments and builds the Community Health Plans for Redmond, Gordon, and Murray hospitals.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Well-organized and detail-oriented, able to work independently and prioritize. [Required]

  • Strong writing, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. [Required]

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. [Required]

  • Willingness to work in new platforms used by community advocacy, including Salesforce and Achieve It. [Required]

  • Willingness to become familiar with IRS regulations on community benefit reporting, ensuring all functions comply with the most updated requirements to maintain nonprofit status. [Required]

  • Bachelors degree in communication, Organizational Readiness, or Business Management. [Required]

  • 2 years relevant experience. [Required]
