The Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia is seeking Club janitors for several of our Boys & Girls Clubs in Rome and Cedartown. These are permanent, year-round positions that require physical/janitorial work in our facilities and on our grounds, such as scrubbing, mopping and polishing floors, vacuuming carpeted floors, cleaning windows and washrooms, emptying wastebaskets, collecting trash and other debris around the facilities, and possible other cleaning duties as deemed necessary.

Applicants may apply to work in South Rome or Cedartown, and must enjoy working around youth of all ages and diverse backgrounds, be attentive to detail, use sound judgment, and possess a clean criminal background and drug screen. These are permanent, year-round 20-30 hour per week part-time positions between the hours of 8:00am – 6:00pm, Monday through Friday (depending upon individual work schedule). Compensation is based on qualifications but usually starts from $10.00 - $12.00 per hour. This position also offers access to benefits including paid federal holidays and a savings/pension plan.

Applicants should have excellent verbal communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal skills; be able to work as part of a team or on an individual basis and have high standards of ethics and integrity. This position does not work directly with youth but does work in the vicinity of youth, so prior experience working around youth of different ages is not required, but is highly preferred.
