The Berry College Elementary and Middle School (BCEMS) is a private, tuition-based laboratory school under the governance of the Berry College Charter School of Education and Human Sciences. Accredited by SACS (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) and GAC (Georgia Accrediting Commission), and a member of IALS (International Association of Laboratory Schools), BCEMS combines the remarkable resources of Berry College with talented faculty and staff to provide an outstanding example of best practices for education. The Berry College Elementary and Middle School is seeking to hire a part-time bus driver. This is a 9-month, part-time, hourly position serving August-May with no benefits. Primary responsibilities include transporting BCEMS students from the Cage Center pickup to and from BCEMS, and to other sites within designated route(s). This job class is responsible for the safe operation of a school bus and for ensuring the safety of student passengers while meeting established bus schedules. Drivers may be assigned to drive students for Berry's other laboratory schools as needed. Bus drivers report directly to the Dean of the Charter School of Education and Human Sciences.



Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have a valid Georgia Driver's License, a valid Commercial Driver's License B-Permit with Endorsements, and have a safe driving record. Knowledge of the provisions of the Georgia Motor Vehicle Code as applied to the operation of vehicles used in the transport of school children is required. Candidates must be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to safely and effectively perform required duties. The ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with the BCEMS Director and staff is required.
