POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Rome First Building Superintendent is responsible for maintaining the Rome First campus, ensuring that the church can engage in mission and ministry for the congregation and the community.


This employee works about 30 hours a week. The hours are 8-3 p.m., Monday-Friday.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Perform general, routine maintenance on all church property, ensuring that the  campus (inside and outside) remains in good condition. This may include cleaning, painting, repair, installations, and general upkeep. (Lawn maintenance and general janitorial services are provided by separate vendors.)

Regularly monitor all plant systems (including structural, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing) to ensure they are in good working order.

Set up for special events and return event spaces to their normal set up. This may include collaboration with staff or other church members about placement of special items or equipment, and/or moving or assembly of temporary structures.

Conduct an annual inventory and evaluation of all mechanical systems and other equipment.

Participate fully as a member of the church staff by attending all staff meetings; gatherings and retreats unless excused by the senior pastor.

Other duties as assigned.

 

 

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 

Demonstrate the ability to work well and cooperatively with other team members.

Must be able to lift 35 pounds.

Must be able to set up tables and chairs on a regular basis.

Experience and proficiency with electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.       

Professional certifications are a plus.



ADDITIONAL DETAILS

Reports to the Senior Pastor. The Building Superintendent will work with the Senior Pastor and Associate Pastor to set priorities.
