JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Head Men's Basketball Coach, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with the organization, supervision, and administration of the NCAA Division III intercollegiate men's basketball program. The candidate will also demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, Division III athletics, and an appreciation for and commitment to all NCAA, Southern Athletic Association (SAA), and institutional rules and regulations. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to, assisting with practice and game preparation, NCAA compliance, student-work supervision, recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, and a commitment to the student-athlete's academic progress and degree completion. Along with coaching responsibilities, the candidates will be assigned additional responsibilities dependent on the successful candidates' skill set and experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Previous coaching and teaching experience on the NCAA Division III collegiate level is preferred. The candidate should also possess good communication skills and strong leadership and mentoring abilities, supporting the vision and goals of the program. This is a 10-month position as an assistant men's basketball coach with additional responsibilities to be assigned depending on the successful candidates' skill set and experiences.
