Assistant Varsity Volleyball/ Head JV Volleyball Coach

Shorter University, an NCAA Division II institution which competes in Conference Carolinas, is currently accepting applicants for the position of Assistant Varsity Volleyball/Head JV Volleyball Coach. This position will be responsible for sport specific coaching, Student-Athlete development, providing Christ-centered development for student-athletes, evaluating, and recruiting prospective student-athletes, and overall administrative duties. This 12-month position reports to the Head Volleyball Coach. All activities shall be conducted within the policies of the University, the Athletics Department, Conference Carolinas, and the NCAA. The applicant must be a committed Christian.

Duties and Responsibilities as assigned by Head Volleyball Coach:

Game preparation

Practice planning and execution

Recruiting

Academic monitoring

Head JV Coach Duties and Responsibilities:

Player management

Game scheduling

Travel management

Managing the JV budget

Planning fundraising efforts

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree is required

Previous experience as a player/coach at the collegiate level

High School and/or club coaching experience

A person guided by Christian principles
