We're looking for a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to join our brand-new location on Shorter Ave in Rome, GA. The Assistant Store Manager plays a key leadership role, supporting the Store Manager in day-to-day operations, team development, and, most importantly, driving sales performance. This role requires a self-motivated individual with a proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets, delivering exceptional customer service, and demonstrating effective team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the store in meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals
  • Actively sell and upsell products and services (printing, mailboxes, packaging, shipping, etc.)
  • Train and coach team members to be confident in closing sales and offering solutions
  • Deliver an exceptional in-store customer experience every time
  • Assist with scheduling, inventory management, and store operations
  • Provide backup support for shipping, printing, mailbox services, and retail operations
  • Resolve customer issues with professionalism and a sales-minded approach
  • Ensure store cleanliness, organization, and presentation align with UPS brand standards
  • Support local marketing efforts and community outreach to grow the business
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism and a positive attitude
  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff alongside the Store Manager
  • Ensure compliance with UPS brand standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain accurate cash handling and POS transactions
  • Perform and oversee shipping, packaging, printing, and mailbox services

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate or bachelor’s degree a plus
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
  • 2+ years of sales experience in retail, service, or business environments
  • Previous leadership or supervisor experience preferred
  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Strong communication and persuasive selling skills
  • Comfortable using computers, POS systems, and learning new software
  • Energetic, coachable, and goal-oriented personality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Print or shipping industry experience is a bonus
