ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AND STUDIES (TENURE-TRACK).

The Department of Environmental Science and Studies at Berry College seeks a tenure-track assistant professor in soil science to begin in August 2025. The ideal candidate will make the most of Berry's remarkable campus through engaging courses and research opportunities that provide students with hands-on experience.  This faculty member will contribute to our collaborative academic environment, working on cross-disciplinary projects in Environmental Science and Studies, Conservation Biology, Animal Science, and other related programs.

Our campus and the surrounding region contain a wide range of ecosystems including forests, wetlands, pastures, farms, and on-campus gardens, all offering possibilities for soil science research. Teaching responsibilities will include an introductory earth science course and upper-division courses in environmental science & studies and soil science, with opportunities to develop innovative courses that integrate soil science with environmental management.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in soil science, environmental science, earth science, geology, or a closely related discipline. Applicants who are ABD should include documentation that the requirements for the degree will be completed by August 2025. To apply, click here.
