BrandRED Studios is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Editor to join our post-production team. The ideal candidate understands the value of hard work and is self-motivated to set and accomplish goals. They will support the Creative Director by managing the ingestion, organization, and preliminary editing of footage, and facilitating an efficient post-production workflow. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about video creation and editing, eager to contribute to various projects, and grow their skills in a dynamic environment. Our Assistant Editors also assist with productions. This may include assisting with filming productions, loading and unloading of equipment for both studio and location shoots and other tasks. Because we film in locations all across the US and internationally, this position will include travel when necessary to assist with the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Media Management & Ingestion:

  • Ingest and organize RAW footage, audio, and graphics files.

  • Maintain standardized folder structures based on BrandRED guidelines.

  • Review and log footage, generating selects.

• Editing & Assembly:

  • Work collaboratively with the Creative Director to assemble rough cuts, timelines, and basic sequences.

  • Assist with basic audio editing, including leveling, noise reduction, and sync.

  • Apply initial color corrections for exposure and contrast, preparing files for final color grading by the Creative Director.

  • Utilize collaboration tools to receive and implement client and team feedback.

• Export & Delivery:

  • Handle project exports for different online platforms.

  • Ensure final files meet technical specifications and are delivered on time to clients.

• Project Archiving:

  • Ensure all final project files and assets are properly backed up according to BrandRED’s Post Production Workflow process.

  • Maintain an organized and efficient digital asset management system.

• Production Assistant:

  • Assist with filming productions, as well as the loading and unloading of equipment for both studio and location shoots.

  • Because we film in locations all across the US and internationally, this position will include travel when necessary to assist with the production process.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience as an Assistant Editor or in a similar post-production role.

• Proven experience with software packages such as Adobe Premiere, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Audition, Photoshop and InDesign.

• Proven experience as an on-set Production Assistant.

• Experience with audio editing, sync and color correction.

• Strong understanding of file management, metadata tagging, and video compression formats.

• Experience with media management and automation tools.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with remote teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to commute to our office located in Rome, GA at least 5 days a week.

• Strong work ethic, reliable, mature, professional and positive attitude required.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with proxy workflows and working with 4K/8K footage.

• Experience in automating repetitive tasks in post-production.

• Knowledge of project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana) to track tasks and deadlines.

• Understanding of cloud-based collaboration tools and storage (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive, NAS).
