Job Summary
This position provides administrative support for Finance and Administration and is responsible to keep the staff informed of items affecting the office/function. This position requires confidentiality and the ability to make independent judgements and procedural decisions. This positiion is on the Floyd Campus.
Responsibilities
• Analyzes actual expenses; maintains systems related to budgetary control; prepares management reports, budget amendments, and financial analysis.
• Manages and monitors the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, financial affairs, funding sources, personnel funding, departmental expenditures, and reimbursements; and, approves expenditures based on available funding
• Assists with account reconciliations, helps track expenses as well as revenues.
• Greets visitors and answers telephone; provides information and assistance; takes messages and schedules appointments
• Distributes incoming and outgoing mail
• Reconciles procurement card statements
• Purchases office supplies as needed
• Assists with travel arrangements and expense reports
• Attends monthly administrative meetings; records and transcribes minutes; posts and files minutes
• Serves on college committees
• Performs related duties
Required Qualifications
• Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education or equivalent
• Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar work position/experience for one (1) to two (2) years.
Preferred Qualifications
• Higher education with budget experience
• BBA in Accounting, Business Administration, or Related field. Experience with Governmental Accounting and Budgeting and two (2) four (4) years related experience in budgeting/accounting; (OR) a combination of education and experience.
Proposed Salary
This is a full time benefitted position.
Salary is $44,000/yearly
